Hello
Today we introduce you to a new contributor to Gfb; Poet, Seer and Woodland Sprite, Hermione Moist.
The following piece is labelled “Desperation” from her short collection of works bravely titled, “Trinkets From My Box”.
Desperation:
Yesterday upon the stair
I met a man who wasn’t there.
I hung about a bit today
He didn’t show; I’ll bet he’s gay.
The bastard.
Move over, Emily Dickinson.
Hermione knows sadness alright
Wonderful meter and emotively beautiful..
Hooray to you Ms. Moist
I couldn’t have put it better Wally
The depth!
The profundity!
The moss!
Coming from you Guap, I am deeply moved
I don’t know what you’re doing to attract such talent, but it’s working!
Doublooons and lots of them!
I laughed until I moistened myself!
Hooray!
A delightful new poet. Thank you for finding her.
Cheers!
The shy flasher who didn’t show?
His mac was in the dry cleaners
Because it was a sort of mac which shouldn’t get wet?
Yep!
Lovely. Simply lovely.
I was moved to tears when I first read it Susie
I think I know that guy. What a wanker!
Absolute tosser!
Oh, it’s eery how I can so fully identify with Hermoine on this one.
…except I’ll go back a second time…just to be *sure*.
Good – the path of true love and all that…..
lol
