Hello,
My name is Terry Cotter. I’m a potter.
I have been potterising for nearly two decades now. I stock a wide range of ceramic goods in my shop The Potter’s Reel, down here in Lower Swell. The shop is named after my potter’s wheel which goes round and round. Like a reel.
Here are some reviews of some of my favourite bits from the world they call “Art”.
1. Painting
The Scream – I like this Munch painting a lot. It shows someone screaming. I reckon they have got toothache. Probably need a spot of root canal.
2. Movies
Lawrence of Arabia – Has Camels in it so bound to be brilliant. Rihanna is wonderful in it and Eminem’s theme tune should win the Oscar. Goes on a bit though.
3. Origami
Take a sheet of paper. Fold it four times. Voila! A Swan!
4. Poetry
Wordsworth – I like him. Handy name for a poet too. Doesn’t rhyme though. I like it when they rhyme. He goes on a bit.
5. Literature
Charles Dickens – Oliver Twist – Poor little lad has a tough time then everything is OK! Goes on a bit.

There’s a lyric after the sweeping opening score about bitch slapping a camel….
I don’t think camels generally like that… but I bet Eminem does.

The cinema bus in he village,is still showing Star Wars Frank but I will rush him a DVD of the film when it comes out!
I wonder if Terry has considered tie-ins to promote his newsletter and potters shop at the same time.
Perhaps a ceramic crutch for Tim? Or maybe ceramic hair extensions for Rihanna!

I believe Dickens did a speaking tour in America, but it was a wee bit before my time. Lucky they got it on videotape.
Eight track?
I love hearing of creative activities. Pottery is great. Unfortunately I never got into it. My talent lies in creating digital landscapes and backgrounds for a new comic that is about kindness and respect. That is so much fun.

I thought Eminem’s best work was in My Fair Lady….but it did go on a bit.

So good to know that Terry is a devotee of the arts. And well educated about them as well. All the better for me, for I’ve never seen the painting, the movie, nor read the poet nor Oliver Twist. I feel much better about that now that I have been properly educated on each of these masterpieces.
