Hello,
As you know Gfb prides itself on making stories up.
Well, for a change here is a true story about a likkle ikkle Baby Seal you may have heard of. We’ve christened him Sam. Sam is having a tough time of it.
You see Sam the pup is ginger and has been abandoned by his mum, who we will call Cecilia. Admittedly he’s no oil painting and in all honesty scares the bejesus out of us but the poor little mite deserves better.
Born with rare brownish-red fur and almost completely blind he was rescued from a beach on an island off Russia, the name of which we have trouble spelling. The pup’s colour is the result of an accumulation of iron in its fur.
“He was hiding and waiting for his mother to come and feed him,” Said the nice man who found him and took him to a dolphinarium where he is being cared for.
On a brighter note, here are some Ginger Sheep.
The fact that the pup was rescued and is being cared for is a bright note.
But ginger sheep are creepy looking.
Baa Baa
Ginger sheep? The seal pup is a cutie…discrimination from his mommy for ginger hair? An abomination, for sure.
Life is tough for us
Oh, poor Sam… he is adorable and I’m glad he is being cared for.
🙂
Dig ginger sheep!
Don’t we all Marina!
Poor wee thing. He is adorable.
I suppose the ginger sheep would save a person from having to dye the wool.
We could promote them as a carbon reduction strategy thingy Michelle…….
Ginger wool for the man who has everything and wants to throw it all away and have a ginger color 100% wool wardrobe. I guess you could throw the seal in as a pet.
Could it find a use as a Bond baddie pet?
Might be a nice briefcase as well
Harsh!
As always, I believe all this is true. After all, these are pictures on the Internet.
Ergo……
Absolutely adorable. Can I adopt him?? I’ve got no pool (no yard either), but I’ve got lots of love for the poor ginger baby.
I must start a seal adoption agency.
I must say that I’ve never before heard of a dolphinarium. Sounds like a very useful refuge for this poor creature. I happen to think he’s very cute, but nothing compares to those handsome sheep! Think of the sweater that could come from those fleeces!
If they could clone a ginger and black striped sheep the wool would fly off the shelves, so to speak.
Sounds like the plot for an animated film.
Great share, Jim.
Grow big Sammy
A ginger seal? I can’t. It’s too much. Too much cute.
I know and he is homeless!
