Hello Folks
As we pointed out recently, Tour de France winner and now OLYMPIC Champ Bradley “Lambretta” Wiggins was a ginger in his younger days.
Whilst time may have faded his ginger follicles to something browner, we can detect the Titian tinge remaining strong in those classy sideburns of his. I have started growing mine in the hope that I will become an Olympic Champion at some point in the next ten days.
- Ginger Burns! A Ginger Hero!
- Brilliant Stuff! Go Wiggo!
Almost caught up with Kazhakstan in the medals table 🙂
Bank Holiday when we do Joe!
Woo Hoo! What a man!
Agreed – He is a good bloke too. Sadly now the Olympics will take on an overly jingoistic hue as the media start cranking up the nonsense.
I’m enjoying your updates!
Cheers!
Fantasict the womens pairs i rowing also got gold…but well don’ to ginger:)
Agreed they did well – but Bradley is a kind of Ginger so i better stick to the script!
Ginger, best of luck with your sideburns, I have tred this myself but maybe I’ve gone too far by growing a beard, but it’s done nothing for me so far. But maybe it only works for Poms 🙂
They were fashionable over here about 8-9 years ago – didn’t work for me then – could never get them to match…
I hope your worthy efforts work out for you. It may depend upon how quickly your hair grows! I recall the biblical story of Samson, and so “hair” and “strength” hold possibility for you! And I must tell you that I amazed my husband when watching the Opening Ceremony and Bradley Wiggins was introduced and I knew who he was! I, who know no one in the sporting world and definitely not from GB! But I gave you full credit…I’d recognize him anywhere now! Debra
Cheers Debra – It felt like the whole nation was willing him on yesterday – he seems to have struck a chord with us over here – he’s the human version of the opening ceremony – funny, innovative and slighly bonkers
Great cyclist, sportsman and ambassador
Agreed!
What a ride for the gold … and the competition wasn’t even close! Congrats!
He’s done us proud – a good man too!
The ginger tinting makes the victory that much sweeter.
Well, it might be darker, but it still looks ginger to me.
When it comes to gold, it’s gingers before country 😉
Oh Yes!
